Board & Governance Volunteers
We welcome individuals interested in serving in board or advisory roles who can help guide the organization’s
mission, strategy, and long-term sustainability.
Ideal experience may include:
- Nonprofit governance
- Finance or accounting
- Legal or compliance
- Education or youth development
- Public health or social services
- Fundraising or development
- Community leadership
Board and advisory volunteers play a critical role in strengthening accountability, supporting growth,
and ensuring M2HO continues to serve the Richmond community with integrity and impact.
Program & Instructional Volunteers
M2HO seeks instructors and facilitators to support youth-focused programs centered on mentorship,
fitness, education, and enrichment.
Volunteer roles may include:
- Youth mentoring and leadership development
- Fitness and wellness sessions
- Educational or STEM-related activities
- Workshops or group facilitation
Instructional volunteers work directly with participants to create safe, structured spaces where learning,
confidence, and connection can grow.
Events & Community Initiatives
Our community events and initiatives rely on hands-on volunteer support.
Opportunities include:
- Annual events and family activities
- Community outreach and engagement
- Basic-needs initiatives and distributions
- Event setup, coordination, and logistics

General & Administrative Support
Strong programs depend on strong operations. M2HO welcomes volunteers interested in general or administrative support.
Support roles may include:
- Office and organizational assistance
- Data entry or record-keeping
- Communications or outreach support
- Grant research or fundraising assistance
These contributions help ensure programs run smoothly and resources reach those who need them most. Administrative roles require a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week, with scheduling coordinated to fit availability.
